Thanks for your hint. I tried setting them, and I verified that they were used when booting:

$ cat /proc/cmdline

BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-6.5.0-15-generic root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--mate--vg-root ro intel_iommu=igfx_off i915.modeset=1 i915.enable_dc=0 i915.enable_fbc=1 i915.enable_psr=1 i915.enable_dp_mst=0 i915.disable_power_well=0

Unfortunately Xorg is still crashing in the same way.

"GLSL compile failure” is a very generic error message. The question to all guys in this mailing list is: Is there a way to tell exactly what went wrong when "compiling"?
