Yes, I still have that somewhere.  I'll try to find some time to do a
test.

IIRC, that device had some QMI proxy intercepting the WDS service and
only implementing the absolute minimum to make it survive the Windows
driver.  Which would have been fine if it hadn't crashed on all other
WDS requests.  And to top it off, it would crash to some bootloader or
debug state with no obvious way to reset it to modem mode again.
Coupled with an internal battery to make it even more complicated to
reset.  Beautiful design from an end user perspective...

Definitely a device I would have returned if I had paid anything for
it. I am trying to keep my firmware expectations realistically low, but
that thing is just so buggy beyond belief that I don't think it has any
right to live.  Actually I did try to return it once, but it looks like
the owner doesn't want it back either.

But I guess we still should attempt to make MM work with it.
