I fixed a minor thing in your patch, just to initialize the "pflags"
variable in grab_port():
MMPortSerialAtFlag pflags = MM_PORT_SERIAL_AT_FLAG_NONE;

Would you also like to do the GPS unmanaged changes for Huawei?
