Scripting against ModemManager

Hello everyone,

I want to script the connection of the modem manager, to create an portable
hotspot.

What is the best way to do it? Just run it trough bash and parse the comands?
Its there a JSON or easy parsable outputs?

Is there a direct library for Python or Go?
