Thanks for the hint - but it didn't help: getting exactly the same
output regardless if --device-open-mbim is set or not.
error: couldn't create client for the 'dms' service: CID allocation
failed in the CTL client: Transaction timed out
As mentioned previously I've installed Ubuntu 16.04 with default
modemmanager, libmbin, libqmi. Additional the "qmi-over-mbim" branch
stuff is installed in /usr/local.
rfkill shows these devices as active:
# rfkill list
0: tpacpi_bluetooth_sw: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
1: tpacpi_wwan_sw: Wireless WAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
2: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
14: hci0: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
What else can I try? (sorry for this potentially dumb question - I do
have a long history with linux, but not in kernel/driver hacking).
Cheers,
Stefan
