ANN: ModemManager 1.5.990 (1.6-rc1) released

Hey hey,

So, this 1.5.990 [*] version, tagged as 1.6-rc1, is the first release
candidate version for the next 1.6.0 stable release, which will be the
base for the next 1.6.x stable series in the following year(s).

This version requires:
 * GLib 2.36.0
 * gettext 0.19.3
 * libmbim >= 1.12.0 (for the optional MBIM support)
 * libqmi >= 1.14.0 (for the optional QMI support)
 * libsystemd >= 209 or libsystemd-login >= 183 (for the optional
suspend and resume support)

For distributions using systemd, it is suggested that the new optional
suspend/resume is explicitly requested during configure with the new
'--with-suspend-resume=systemd' argument.

I've tried to list the major changes since the last 1.4.x in the NEWS
file, in git. Will include the full list of changes in the email once
the final 1.6.0 is released.

Please, grab this version and start integrating it in your distributions
and custom systems, test with all your devices, and provide feedback
better sooner than later :)
