I plan to tag a 1.8 RC version (e.g. 1.7.900, 1.8-rc1) this week from
git master. We already have the filter policies there and the GTask
migration is a nice-to-have really, not critical for a new stable
release. I also know that several companies are already using versions
from git master as stable in their fields, some even with the new
device filter policies, so it's probably time to start releasing :)
