Will you be putting the retry increase into the build that I'm hoping
you will be uploading today. :)

In the same vein, while playing with the GPS, I notice that ttyUSB1
doesn't always appear when the driver is initialized:

The "now attached to" line for ttyUSB1 is usually, but not always
present. When it is not, the character device doesn't exist.

What is initializing that? MM or the kernel itself?
