That Ubuntu version seems wrong, I assume you mean 16.04?

This looks like some stale modem reference left around, which prevents
the extended signal info loading context from being disposed and
cancelled.
I recall some fix about that, but a very very long time ago.

Your best chance is to use a newer MM version, 1.6.4 is extremely old
and not even the last 1.6.x stable release. Maybe try with my Ubuntu
16.04 PPA here?
