Possibly also worth pointing out that some modem implementations do not
connect the sim-change indicator switch from the SIM socket to the
modem.  e.g. I believe there is no pin allocated to this for mini-pcie
(USB) formfactor modems, so even with a supported modem, these won't
know about SIM changes.
