Beware of memory leaks in ModemManager + glib2 2.73.1

Hey all,

A recent change
(https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/commit/95caffcd260457c488136cd4a922adead4df6cfe)
in glib2 has introduced an enormous amount of memory leaks in
ModemManager:

If you're interested in knowing more or helping out with a solution,
please check https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/issues/2774

I don't know yet whether it's better to wait until there is a fix in
glib2 or to provide a workaround in MM itself.
