Hi Bjorn,

I did the same trick when I installed
new wireless card in my older X220 - after flashing modified FRU
white-listed BIOS I had to load BIOS default to get my card working, but
there was slight difference - the card was showing in the rfkill
listing as HW blocked. As I remember correctly MC7455 is not listed in
rfkill at all, which is kind of strange... But I will double check it
tomorrow as I do not have NB with me right now. Thank you anyway for
suggestion, l will post rfkill list here.

BR

On Wed, Jun 7, 2017 at 9:38 PM, Bjørn Mork <bjorn@mork.no> wrote:

Dominik Strnad <litinoveweedle@gmail.com> writes:
Don't know if this is relevant, but I seem to remember similar problems
on my X301 when switching modems. IIRC the BIOS cached whether or not a
modem was installed, and I had to reset this somehow after installing a
new modem to get rfkill working again. My memory is a bit hazy as
always, but I *think* I simply did a "load BIOS defaults" or whatever it
was called in the BIOS setup.

Might be worth a try before messing with the pin.
