I am actually using a 5.10 kernel (not 4.19), but still wouldn't have the patches you mention.</div>

I can try some 6.1 and 6.6 kernel for our platform and see if that helps.</div>

No, if the kernel drivers have the right bits.<br>

The kernel drivers "tag" the device as a WWAN device instead of a<br>
regular USB Ethernet device, and that's how it gets wwan0.<br>
