[MPRIS] Captions on MediaPlayers

Hi everyone.

First of all I'm going to introduce myself. I'm Javier Hernández [1]
and I work as free software developer at Emergya [2].
Among many other projects, we're working on an European project called
Cloud4All [3], under the FP7 framework programme [4]. The Cloud4all project
aims to develop some components of the GPII (Global Public Inclusive
Infrastructure) [5]

We (Emergya) are the responsible team for the implementation on
GNU/Linux-GNOME, and we are working on the Android one too.
After a few months of work, a few questions have been raised and one
of those questions is if we're able to deal with captions and
languages (in our case, via DBUS) in media players. I made some
research about it, and I discovered that most of the media players
(like totem) expose their DBUS API following the freedesktop MPRIS
specification.

I've been looking at the specification and I was wondering how I can
contribute (by proposing and/or adding new features) to the
MPRIS specification, and if it really make sense, taking into account our
needs.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Javi
