Hard-coded uuid and headless pi configuration of Network Manager

Hey all
I am the creator of CustomPiOS, that lets you build raspberry pi
distributions. Mostly known for OctoPi.
Can anyone tell me if the uuid for each network manager connection needs to
be randomized? Or is it just a uuid and I can set it to something constant
in a distribution?

We have  file in the /boot partition that users can modify with a text
editor to set up NetworkManager connections from a different machine:
