[libnice] ICE states sequence

Hello everybody,
I am using *libnice-0.1.10* and listen to "component-state-changed" signal
(just after the agent is created and before calling gather_candidates).
In the most cases I receive this states sequence:
    CONNECTING -> CONNECTED -> READY
But sometimes I receive this one, where CONNECTED state is missing:
    CONNECTING -> READY

Moreover, GATHERING state is always missing.

Is this normal, could I have done something wrong, or could be a bug
related with this?
