I tried nouveau for the first time today. I used the latest git on Gentoo Linux
~x86.

First the wong resolution was used (The TFT has 1600x1200, 1280xsomething was
used) and the right resolution was not selectable (log days "panel does not
support 1600x1200).

When switching Randr12 on as suggested in #nouveau, i got a black screen (but
no warnings except one missing function/prototype in the nouveau driver).
Sometimes Ctrl+Alt+F1 brought me back to teh console, sometimes not. No idea if
it was a freeze, i did not try to reach the pc with ssh, just hit reboot.
