In the first sentence in my last comment I mean it's NOT specific to nouveau,
sorry. Log's attached.

* Reconnecting the TV and setting up the correct resolution
Resolution changes fine. X not find higher available resolutions than 1024x768
on the TV. 
"Reconnecting the TV and setting up the correct resolution" - Don't know if
this is even succesfully since I plug out my monitor and put the TV in and X
thinks it's still the monitor and the output do not look very smooth.
