I've been running "cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/evict_vram" inside a while loop
for more than 1 hour and every 1 second.

$ while true; do cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/evict_vram; sleep 1; done

but I couldn't reproduce the issue that way.

How can I upgrade mesa from git? Any instructions?
