Got the exact same issue I guess:
[   71.384811] pci_pm_runtime_suspend(): nouveau_pmops_runtime_suspend+0x0/0xa0
[nouveau] returns -16

I tried the proposed patch:

And this seems to have fixed the isue for me. Xorg isn't crashing anymore when
booting my system now.
