The only reliable thing is the DCB block, but like you said, it's not appropriate for an early pci quirk. Finding the specifics is going to be difficult. People come into #nouveau with a pastebin of their dmesg and some problem, and I note it in my head over the years. Finding these will be next to impossible, esp as the pastes expire fairly quickly.
