nvkm_device_preinit first calls all the preinit's and THEN computes the disable
mask. So when nvkm_devinit_preinit runs, it won't have the disable mask that
tells it that the display unit is fused off.
And unfortunately I don't know why that logic is there in the first place, so
this is one for Ben as well. Perhaps it's a holdover from the time of the
ancients, and can be restricted to family < NV_50 entirely?</pre>
