<pre>Good and bad news! Sort of. I decided to try Windows 10 again today, and it
seems as though the PC has issues there too (isn't able to get pass the spinny
thingy with a Windows logo when booting), so I interpret this as being a
hardware issue after all.
I'll close this as invalid since the issue seems to originate from somewhere
else other than nouveau, thank you for your time.</pre>
