[ooo-build] rendering of subscript/superscript text broken

Hi,

since June (~ when openoffice 3.1.0 came out), the ubuntu builds of
openoffice have broken rendering of subscript/superscript text.
So do all the builds in derived distros (e.g. frugalware). Debian seems
to be affected too.

Please see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/384249
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20038&start=0
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=102546

The official sun build does not have the bug. Now, it is not clear to me
whether this is an ooo-build bug common to all builds from go-oo, or it
is specifically derived from ubuntu/debian changes to the code base. Not
easy for me to check as the go-oo site does not have "deb" packages and
for ubuntu/debian binaries redirects to the distro site.

Can anybody tell me if the go-oo QA seen anything like this in recent
(>= 3.1.0 M11) go-oo builds? I've tried the search function on the ML,
but nothing relevant seems to appear.
Please note that this bug rules out recent distribution versions of
openoffice for things like scientific education, technical lectures,
conference presentation, etc. so knowing a bit more about the
state/origin of the issue could be really useful.
