[Openchrome-devel] Backport of VIA driver 87a-55727 to XFree86 4.3.0

Dear openchrome developers,


sorry for misusing this list for this off-topic request.

We've an quite old linux-based embedded operating system (kernel 2.4.17, XFree86 4.3.0) that needs to run on a newer hardware which is VX900 based.

We are looking for someone interested (for money) in porting the via driver source (via-xserver-87a-55727_src.tar.bz2) from http://linux.via.com.tw/support/beginDownload.action?eleid=423&fid=731 to XFree 4.3.0.

- Convert from autoconf to use Imakefile/xmkmf
- DRM/DRI/3D is NOT required. Neither is EXA, KMS, TTM/GEM, DRI2, HDMI, DisplayPort and the like.
- Just plain simple XAA/2D acceleration
- Dual-head (xinerama) support IS required
