The drm driver is still not ready for consumption, especially on laptops
as the LVDS output is still not properly supported with KMS. KMS is not
the default anyway, you still need to enable it with via.modeset=1.
It should be okay in UMS mode though.

There are 2 options here :
- Either submit patches against the current via drm driver and have them
reviewed before inclusion. Both shaping up the patches from the tree and
reviewing them is expected to be time consuming.
- Either rename the drm driver to openchrome and have the whole tree
included in staging. This will require the Xorg driver to be adapted to
run both with via and openchrome drm drivers, but it might be easier to
get the code upstreamed this way.
