My version of "patch" doesn't seem to want to work.

If I include the -p option, it errors out with:

# patch -pl < 0001*.patch
patch: **** strip count l is not a number

If I do not include that option, it asks me to manually specify the file to
patch, for each of two sections of code.

Looking at the patch file, it appears to be human-readable text. I only wish I
knew what I could safely delete in order to get this to work!
