It took a lot of effort to figure out why your Puppy Linux was not booting, but
I am hoping that you can get it working if you compile and install the latest
OpenChrome code.
After OpenChrome Version 0.4.0 is released, you are going to have to convince
Puppy Linux developers to download the latest code, and replace the buggy
Version 0.3.3 code with the latest one.
As far as my own testing goes, the current OpenChrome works with Ubuntu 10.04
LTS based OSes, along with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS based OSes.
The Version 0.3.3 that came with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS based OSes should also be
replaced with the latest one.
If the Puppy Linux developers are willing to replace the buggy OpenChrome that
came with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with the latest version, that will be good for those
who use that version of Puppy Linux.
If you wanted the straight DVI to work, you can file a new bug report since
this one got so long that it is hard to manage the thread.
Christopher, thanks for filing the bug report, and spending your own time on
the testing.
