Sounds like a plan.
As for my end of things, we may have an explanation for what is going on with
the SD card.
Card is SDXC, basically by necessity.
Laptop is a 2010 Dell e4310, which has either a Ricoh R5U241 or a Ricoh R5U242A
chip running the SD slot. I suspect the '241 is the chip in my laptop but
actual confirmation -- which, sadly, must be done by eyeball -- will have to
wait until I am inclined next to operate on the system ;)
Nevertheless, as chips supporting SDXC only came out in early 2010 (per
Wikipedia) -- it is likely my laptop sees the card as an SDHC card, not an SDXC
card, and gets a little confused -- causing major problems.
I'm working on getting a card reader -- but, unfortunately, it's going to be a
challenge with my kind of cashflow to have it happen before next month. I
literally don't even have a dollar right now.
I'll keep you posted. Hey, maybe I'll find something under the couch cushions
tomorrow :P
