<pre>Hi Justin,
I altered the external DVI (TMDS) transmitter detection monitor detection
method that hopefully works with I2C bus 3.
I know the I2C bus 3 appears still broken, and you obviously should not be
using <span class=""><a href="attachment.cgi?id=121941" name="attach_121941" title="Using I2C bus 3 functions that are likely work">attachment 121941</a> <a href="attachment.cgi?id=121941&action=edit" title="Using I2C bus 3 functions that are likely work">[details]</a></span> <a href='page.cgi?id=splinter.html&bug=91966&attachment=121941'>[review]</a> (<span class=""><a href="attachment.cgi?id=121940" name="attach_121940" title="Added debug messages to via_vt1632_probe">attachment 121940</a> <a href="attachment.cgi?id=121940&action=edit" title="Added debug messages to via_vt1632_probe">[details]</a></span> <a href='page.cgi?id=splinter.html&bug=91966&attachment=121940'>[review]</a> is okay), but assuming that you can
get I2C bus 3 to detect VT1632A, <span class=""><a href="attachment.cgi?id=121957" name="attach_121957" title="Altering external DVI transmitter (VT1632A) monitor detection method">attachment 121957</a> <a href="attachment.cgi?id=121957&action=edit" title="Altering external DVI transmitter (VT1632A) monitor detection method">[details]</a></span> <a href='page.cgi?id=splinter.html&bug=91966&attachment=121957'>[review]</a> should allow it to be
registered as a monitor with xorg xserver.
If I2C bus 3 is not working, then I can also come up with a way to adjust its
timing parameters.</pre>
