Hi Frank,
I think VX900's IGP is really a PCIe device.
This is why DRM APIs that handles AGP detection fail.
I think what may have happened is that James Simmons did not really test the
DRM module with older VIA Technologies IGPs that identifies as an AGP device
(i.e., UniChrome family).
If what I proposed is the fix, you may want to obtain freedesktop.org
commit privilege, and do a commit to fix this bug.
I do already have the commit privilege, so I can possibly do it with your name
included so that you get the credit for doing a lot of the analysis.
I did obtain the commit privilege recently, and if you are not familiar with
the process, I think I can help you out.
Of course, you may already know the process of obtaining commit privilege.
When I did it, I was barely able to figure it out on my own, but I think I can
go back and figure out how I did it.
