<pre>Sure I'll try another monitor, I've actually got it hooked up through a KVM
switchbox so perhaps it's not able to get the DDC through.
I'll try it direct connection to the VGA and see how that fares.
I did however also hook it up with a direct HDMI connection as the VE900 has
both VGA and HDMI ports with the same blank screen results.
The HDMI port was able to switch between text and graphic mode with CTRL+ALT+F1
and CTRL+ALT+F7.</pre>
