<pre>P Touchman, I will try a small experiment later today to see if I can disable
HDMI.
I finally found the VIA Technologies Chrome VX900 HDMI mode setting code for
their in-house DDX UMS code path.
I have known about its existence for a while, but forgot which source code
contained it (VIA has several open source code posted online) and the SSD that
had it died (it's not a hard drive, so it no longer "crashes.") 2 months ago
(ADATA Ultimate SD800 128 GB SSD).
If I get my act together, I think I can develop the code in less than an hour,
but if it does not really work, I will let you know that.
As a long term solution, I will likely have to implement VX900 chipset HDMI.
I will start working on that fairly soon.</pre>
