[Openchrome-users] Problems installing openchrome on gentoo 2.6.14 / xorg 6.8.99.15

I will summarize the problem I am encountering here:

I've been trying all night, now I'm up against a wall of compiler errors
which I dont know whats going on. It started with 2 missing files that xmkmf
complained about (in the libxvmc step): host.def and date.def

I tried to work around this:
cp /usr/lib/X11/config/date.def /usr/src/xc/config/cf/
cp /usr/src/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/etc/bindist/Linux-ix86/host.def
/usr/src/xc/config/cf/
And that step seemed to work. Now maybe those aren't the right files and are
causing the next problem, or there's something else wrong:

And so on and on for 10 pages before the compiler quits. I'm sure it must be
something small. Yes, I've already tried a different Xorg version (6.8.2) so
it's not just that.
