Don't know what the reason was but I had defined LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH to show to usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib in the past. I deleted this entry now and together with the openchrome drivers by Jon and with the patch to libdrm by Cedric, glxinfo reports that direct rendering is enabled and glxgears looks also good. I patched only libdrm since I don't think that openchrome needs to be patched, but correct me please if I'm wrong.
