I checked it out on system with xorg-7.0-rc1 (modular). I set 
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkgconfig and did ./autoget --prefix=/usr.
The driver built, and xorg ran, with direct rendering yes and glxgears 
reporting its usual value of FPS.
