oh just thought... in xvtestcard, are you using:

I wasnt, IMAGEFORMAT wasnt beeing #defined in main.c, So I just re-run all
the  steps (with/without the extra code,  XvSetPortAttribute 0/1) with
#define IMAGEFORMAT YV12 and got exactly the same results
