Hi,

It has been a while since I messed around under the hood so to speak but
yesterday I did a vdr, xine and vdr-xine upgrade to vdr 1.3.48, xine cvs
of yesterday and vdr-xine 0.76.

CPU usage (for memory Epia M10000) is still at 33-36% for xine. If I
turn on the unichrome cpu save option that drops to 15-17% but the video
is choppy. I am running a standard Fedora Core 4
kernel( 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4) so I am not sure if the required multimedia
enhancements are active or not.

The other big change is that I am now running the CLE266 at 1440x900 in
16 bit colour (previously was at 1024x768). X seems to be using less
resources - I think I was reporting 7% or thereabouts. Now it uses
between 0.7 and 2.7% depending on what is happening on the screen.
