XvMC is only for MPEG2 decoding IIRC (I guess it could be extended to  
handle other similar codecs, not sure about mpeg4 though). Moreover the  
mpeg4 "hardware acceleration" (no idea what part of the decoding is  
handled by the hardware here) is not working yet (hint, hint ;-).
