Update to svn 264. No change.
gxine *.avi still locks up. Nothing in the logs.
gxine -V XShm *.avi works fine.
I cant post the Xorg.0.log. The mail server says too big.

I did notice that I now need:
Option 		"HWCursor" 		"false"

I also saw Martin Jurgens post "console issue..." and his screen shot 
looks the same as mine for console mode. (VT switching).
