Direct rendering is not working for some reason. Fixing that will 
improve performances for both 2D and 3D and enable XvMC hardware mpeg 
acceleration.
Your xorg log might help diagnose the pb.

oh, and btw, 3D has nothing to do with openchrome, which only covers 2D 
and XvMC. Refer to Mesa for anything 3D related.
