Evening folks!
Just when I thought I was a pro... ;)
I'm building an SP13000 based mythtv system. I have pretty much
everything working fairly well, except the XvMC output on the CN400.
I can't modprobe my newly built modules because of unknown symbol
errors.
Here is an exact exerpt from modprobe and the dmesg following it:
FATAL: Error inserting via
(/lib/modules/2.6.16-gentoo-r10/kernel/drivers/char/drm/via.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
And dmesg:
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_cleanup
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_set_range
via: Unknown symbol drm_calloc
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_takedown
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_alloc
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_init
via: Unknown symbol drm_cleanup_pci
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_owner_clean
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_owner_cleanup
via: Unknown symbol drm_sman_free_key
The hardware is an SP13000 board with a 120w PS inside a Travla case.
I'm running Xorg-7, on a 2.6.16 kernel with gentoo patches applied, in
the kernel I've got via-agp as a module and no drm stuff selected.
I've followed the instructions from the wiki on compiling the Xorg
module, the DRI stuff, and finally the drm stuff (LINUXDIR=...).
I thought I may have missed something, so I uninstalled and
reinstalled but still got the exact same error.
Any thoughts? I've googled til my eyes bled, but nothing turned up.
Thanks!
