The first questions I don't have any idea on.  The VIA module is the
openchrome via module.  Once you get DRI working, the DRI error will
go away ;)  What have you tried?  The documentation is at
http://openchrome.org on the wiki.  As for your last question, it
doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but if you are looking for
framebuffer drivers that work, the actual drivers provided by Via are
framebuffer drivers.
