 On my SP8000 the mode 720x576Noscale appears to work OK. Used to be like
 in joi's jpg.
 I just think we have a bit too much overscan on the top (few lines) and
 more overscan on the bottom.
 The bar at the bottom of my desktop (Gnome? FC5 with the virual desktop
 switchpad at the right) is barely visible.
 On the left I am missing a few characters' width. A little less on the
 right.
 How could I control the overscan?

 My Xorg.log has a line:
 (--) VIA(0): Detected VIA Technologies VT1622A/VT1623 TV Encoder
 So I am writing in the right ticket?
 What other info would you need?
