hi again!
now i figured out what caused the problem, there were 2 different unichrome_dri.so versions, one in /usr/lib/dri/ and the newer one in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/

updating the one in /usr/lib/dri/ did the trick. now glxinfo shows:

direct rendering: Yes
