In XvTestcard can you add:

  Atom xv_atom;
  xv_atom = XInternAtom(dpy,"XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY",False);
  XvSetPortAttribute (dpy,xv_port, xv_atom,1);

before the "while (1)"
