 Yes, but where did it put via_drv.so when you said `make install` and is
 that where your xorg is looking? iirc Gentoo builds with a non-standard
 paths so you will need to configure the openchrome driver to match, or add
 a ModulePath entry pointing to the standard place in your xorg.conf.
 Alternatively just install by hand into the right place with `cp`.
