Hello,

I'm running fedora core 4 on an epia M10K mainboard (guess cle266).
Due to a new USB WLAN device I had to upgrade my kernel from v.
2.6.11 to v. 2.6.17 and now the precompiled via framebuffer driver
(viafb) doesn't work anymore. I tried to compile them with half
success. The module can be load and the terminal change to 1280x1024
but mplayer (vemp 1.5) is not capable to use viafb as videodevice.

Anyway, I got rid of via drivers and will change to openchrome
(that's why I am here). I am not sure what I have to install, I don't
use X and all your documentation talk about Xorg versions and sources
for compilation. How can I build a module with openchrome or
unichrome that don't need Xorg or behave like viafb?
