I tried the patch on a Epia M10K. mplayer plays a standard dvd smoothly, 
cpu usage is in par with xine (8-10 %). I'll try with other (non-mpeg2) 
materials as time permit.

Oh, and btw, the mplayer Fedora 7 i386 rpms are available in the epia 
repo (based on Livna version plus Timothy's patch).
