I get exactly the same error. At a glance it looked liked a typo but I don't see what is wrong. I am using gentoo, which seems to be common. I will have to work it out when I get a chance, but if someone else knows what is going on it would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried it with GCC 3.4/4.1/4.2 for kernel 2.6.22 from gentoo-sources.
